Hazel Martin is multi award-nominated Scottish journalist with a decade of experience in news and current affairs. Currently at BBC Scotland News, Hazel is a reporter, production journalist and TV presenter with a special interest in documentaries, investigations and original journalism.
Hazel began her journalism career in local radio in 2014 and became a Multi Media News and Sport Reporter for Tay FM in 2016.
In 2018, Hazel began working at the BBC joining the BBC Scotland Channel's flagship news programme, 'The Nine' where she works as a journalist and reporter.
After an opportunity to turn her passion for watching documentaries into making them, her debut film with BBC Disclosure was released in 2021.
Hazel's most recent work includes "Panorama: Binge Drinking and Me" (BBC One) and "Body on the Beach: What Happened to Annie?" (BBC Scotland/BBC Three), which was the channel's highest rated factual programme of 2023.
